Self Compassion

I have worked with a lot of people over the years and I am struck by the kindness and consideration they show to others. Unfortunately most find it harder to show the same level of compassion and forgiveness to ourselves. If only we could treat ourselves with a fraction of the compassion that we show others in our lives. None of us are perfect and that’s ok! Try to spend at least 5-10 minutes of time on you everyday. It can be on anything that you enjoy; Meditation, yoga, mindfulness, a bubble bath, a good book or a bar of chocolate. Whatever makes you feel contentment and pleasure.

For some people wanting to shift the negative inner dialogue they chose to write gratitude diaries to remind themselves of things that they have done well and things they are grateful for that day. Why not give it a try?
